Gray Classic Is On fire After releasing "Swagged Out"

Hardwork beats talent, when talent fails to work. This is one of Gray Classic's favorite quotes. Gray Classic is a talented songwriter, rapper, and singer that was born and raised in Irvington, New Jersey.
Gray began his music career in 2008, after playing one season of college football at the University of Rhode Island. In 2009, Gray built his own record label company called Grind Camp Records. Gray had always wanted to be a professional recording artist, since he was a seven year old boy. When Gray was age seven, he was gifted a VHS cassette tape that had three of Michael Jacksons music videos on it.

These Michael Jackson music videos inspired Gray to become a recording artist. Before Gray began his music career, he focused on school and sports. Gray attended both Boca Raton Community High School and Boca Raton Christian High School. Gray played both football and basketball during his time in high school. After scoring sixteen touchdowns, while playing the quarterback position at Boca Raton Christian High School, Gray sign a full scholarship to play football at the University of Rhode Island. After one semester in college Gray dropped out of college to pursue a full time career in the music business.

In 2010, Gray released his first mixtape titled In The Zone Vol.1. In 2012, Gray released his second mixtape titled In The Zone Vol. 2. Gray would release his third mixtape titled In The Zone Vol. 3 in 2016. After the release of Gray's third mixtape, he decided to focus more on the behind the scenes work. In 2017, Gray launched his own music marketing company called Grind Camp Global. In 2023, Gray began working on his third mixtape titled Rock Star Lifestyle.

All it takes is one song or one music video to change an artists music career completely around. For Gray Classic, that song and music video is "Swagged Out". In the summer of 2024, Gray release the official music video for his hit song "Swagged Out". At first Gray wasn't sure about what his fans would think about his Swagged Out music video. Gray shot the music with a cheap Cannon video camera, at a cheap hotel in Boynton Beach, Florida. Gray was on a two month vacation in Boynton Beach and was inspired to shoot a music video after he bought a new watch. Instead of letting the inspiration dissapear Gray, didn't hesitate and began writing down ideas for a music video. Gray did his first video camers interview after shooting his swagged out music video. Gray has been in the music business for the past seventeen years and he has never recorded a video of him getting interviewed by a journalist. So Gray decided to not only shoot a music video but he also recorded his first interview on the same day.

Then, Gray started recieving a lot of discouraging and hateful comments, on Intstagram, about his Swagged Out music video. This is when Gray knew that he had something special with Swagged Out.

Gray had re-signed a second record deal with Grind Camp Records in 2024. Gray knew had been working very hard to  this would be his last chance at

"Lit Boyz" Officially Started Gray Classic's Career

Gray Classic is a retired professional athlete, that officially started his music career at the age of twenty eight. Gray started his rap music career very late in his life because he was busy chasing after his pro football career dreams, in the first 27 years of his life. Most people know Gray for being one of the best athletes to come out of the South Florida area. After playing college football at the University of Rhode Island and pro football in the AFL (Arena Football League), Gray decided to pursue his dreams of becoming rap star.

Gray Classic officially started his music career in the summer of 2016. That year, Gray moved back to New Jersey to help take care of his sick father who was battling with a rare muscle disease. Gray was born in Irvington, New Jersey on August 18, 1987. Both of Gray's parents migrated to the United States from Haiti during the 1970's and 1980's. In 1997, Gray’s parent separated and his mother move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gray moved to Fort Lauderdale, with his mother and older sister. After only two months of living in Fort Lauderdale, Gray was sent back to live in New Jersey, with his father, because of bad behavior. In 2000, Gray's father received a phone call from his Gray’s  eight grade math teacher, advising him to move Gray back to Florida, to live with his mother. That math teacher told Gray’s father, that he felt like Gray would be dead or in prison by the age of eighteen, if he stayed in Irvington.

Gray had huge circle of friends and family that he had built a very strong connection with in Irvington, New Jersey but Gray knew Florida was the better place for him to finish out his teenage years. Gray had always been a great athlete and was able to become very popular when he moved back to Florida in the year 2000. Gray was voted the most athletic in his 6th grade class at Union Middle School and since then he knew that he had a great chance of becoming a professional athlete. By the year 2000 had arrived, Gray's mother had moved to Boca Raton, Florida and he attended Boca Raton Middle and High School. At Boca Raton High School, Gray had won a basketball championship that made him become the top athlete in the city of Boca Raton. Unfortunately, Gray was arrested a few years after winning a basketball championship on robbery and battery charged.

In September of 2004, Gray served a one month sentence in the Palm Beach County juvenile detention and county jail. After Gray was released from jail, he transferred to Boca Raton Christian high school and scored 16 touchdowns, while playing quarterback and running back for the school’s varsity football team. Gray would also rack up 60 tackles while playing the linebacker position on Boca Raton Christians varsity football team. In 2007, Gray signed a full football scholarship that was offered to him by the University of Rhode Island Rams. Gray became the first student athlete to sign a full division one athletic scholarship in Boca Raton Christian High Schools history.

After attending one semester at the University of Rhode Island, Gray transferred to Palm Beach Community College. During Gray's time at Palm Beach Community College, he signed an acting and modeling contract with Gilla Roos Talent Agency. While Gray was modeling for Gilla Roos, he was also dating a very popular musician, songwriter and singer. In 2008, Gray was invited to his first recording studio and began writing and recording song. In 2011, Gray signed a contract with a professional athlete agent that helped he get a chance to play in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Iowa Barnstormers professional football team. After making his pro football dreams come true, Gray began focusing on making his music career dreams come true.

In the summer of 2016, Gray moved back to New Jersey after his father was diagnosed with a very rare muscle disease that made him unable to walk. Gray moved back to New Jersey, to help his father adjust to his new lifestyle with this rare muscle disease. While Gray was helping his father with his living situation, he also formed a rap group with his cousin called the Lit Boyz. The Lit Boyz released one mixtape titled "The Reunion" and began performing at night clubs in Irvington and Newark, New Jersey. The Lit Boyz rap group only lasted for seven months but that seven month run was epic!

Gucci Mane’s “Hard To Kill” Album Shook The World Up

Gucci Mane’s “Hard To Kill” Album Shook The World Up

Gucci Mane has always been my favorite rapper since I bought his “Hard To Kill” album CD in 2006. I was in Charlotte, North Carolina visiting a close friend and we went inside of a Target store to shop for food and snacks. While we were shopping, I saw Gucci’s “Hard To Kill” album on sale for the first time in my life. I was very surprised to see Gucci Mane’s album being sold at Target, because I had thought he was an unsigned underground rapper.  I told my friends to buy the “Hard To Kill” album and he was happy to do that for me because we both had already heard how Gucci Mane sounded on that “So Icey” song. My friend name was Marcus, and he was a high school football legend in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

For the next two days Marcus and I drove around listening to every song on that “Hard To Kill” album. When I left North Carolina and got back to Boca Raton, Florida I made sure that all of my friends was playing at least one song from that “Hard To Kill” album. My favorite songs on the album were “My Chain” and “Hold That Thought”. What I loved about the album the most is that Gucci Mane seemed like he was having a lot of fun recording that classic album. You could clearly hear the excitement in Gucci’s voice while listen to each song on the “Hard To Kill” album. Gucci Mane’s voice also sounded like one of those old school Motown singers from the 1950’s and 60’s.

I remember in 2007, when I was in my first year of college, my college football teammates would laugh at me when I would tell them that my favorite rapper is Gucci Mane. Then the next year Gucci Mane release “Lemonade” and became one of the most famous and popular rappers in the world! When Gucci Mane was sent to prison in 2013, it hurt me see that happen to him. The last time that I went to jail and got released was in the year 2016. In the year 2016, Gucci Mane got released from prison, after serving two years in prison. Gucci Mane has grown and matured a lot since being released from prison in 2016,

Since being released from prison (in 2016) Gucci Mane has stopped using drugs every day, has been eating healthy foods every day, has been exercising every day, has been handling great music business, married his soulmate, and pro created children with his wife. Also since being released from prison (in 2016) Gucci Mane has signed between 10-15 different independent recording artist and gave them opportunities to make millions of dollars in the music business. In my opinion, Gucci Mane has had the greatest comeback, and motivational story in the entire history of the music business.

Diamond Blessed The Streets With Her "Lotta Money" Hit Song

I will never forget one summer day in 2010. I started my day off doing push-ups and sit-ups. Then, I logged onto my YouTube channel and seen that Diamond (from the rap group named Crime Mob) had released a new music video titled “Lotta Money”. I remembered Diamond from being in a rap group called Crime Mob, but I never knew that she went solo until I seen the “Lotta Money” music video. Crime Mob is an Atlanta, Georgia based rap group that rose to fame in the early 2000’s after they had released hit songs titled “Knuck If You Buck, and “Rock Your Hips”.

The “Lotta Money” music video had a lot of guest celebrity cameo’s like Gucci Mane, and Yung Joc. The music video was well thought and showed Diamond going around the city of Atlanta dating three different rich/wealthy men who had a lot of money. Also, the song had an amazing sounding catchy chorus/hook that was very easy to remember. Both the song and the music video was fire! I’m surprised that Diamond did not fully capitalize on this hit song and start competing with Nicki Minaj for the #1 female rap spot in Hip Hop music. When I saw this “Lotta Money” music video, I thought Diamond was going to go on a 2-5 year hit making spree. Unfortunately, it didn’t go down like that but Diamond definitely blessed the streets with her own banger that I still remember fifteen years Later.
